The Best Friend arrives in Atlanta.

"At 3:00 AM on Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta, GA, the Best Friend was moved into its new home.  Superior Transportation picked up the train from the NS Chattanooga Shops on Friday and transported it to Atlanta where a crane, two steel beams, and a custom made steel turntable were all used to carefully move the 1929 replica.  Norfolk Southern is planning a full historical display featuring the train and CCNRHS artifacts to tell the history of the company." Charleston Chapter-NRHS Newsletter, November 2007, Volume 43, Number 11
